01、有大量动词跟that引起的从句作宾语(that有时省略):
- I guess we gotta go now．
- 我想我们得走了.
- They proved that the world was round．
- 他们证明地球是圆的.
- I hope that I have said nothing to offend you．
- 希望我没说什么话得罪你.
- She never doubted that she was right．
- 她从未怀疑她是对的.
- He claimed that he saw the accident．
- 他声称他亲眼看到这次车祸.
- I felt I had little energy left．
- 我感到一点力气都没有了.
02、在某些动词后作宾语的从句中要用动词原形(美国)或"should+动词原形"(英国)作谓语:
- She insisted that I(should)be present．
- 她坚持要我出席.
- I'd recommend(that)you see a solicitor．
- 我建议你去找律师.
- He requested that they free the hostages．
- 他请求他们释放.
- The situation requires that I(should)be there．
- 形势要求我待在那里.
- Mrs．Godwin urged that he see her．
- 戈德温夫人敦促他去见她.
03、有不少动词后跟连接副(代)词引起的宾语从句:
- Do you see now why I did it?
- 你现在明白我为什么这样做了吗?
- I don't remember when that happened．
- 我不记得这事是什么时候发生的了.
- She described how all this had happened．
- 她描述了这一切是怎样发生的.
- I don't care what they say．
- 我不在乎他们怎么说.
- You can discuss which is his best poem．
- 你们可以讨论哪一个是他要好的诗.
04、也有动词可以跟由连词whether或if引起的从句:
- I'll see whether I can find time to do it．
- 我来看看我可否找到时间做这事.
- I'll find out if she's interested
- 我去看看她是否感兴趣
- 1 wonder whether(if)you'll be free tonight．
- 不知你今晚是否有空.
05、由关系代词型的what及whatever等引起的从句也可用作宾语:
- I didn't believe what he said．
- 我不相信他说的话.
- Show me what you've bought．
- 把你买的东西拿给我看看.
- I will do whatever you wish．
- 我将做你要我做的任何事.
- She can marry who(m)ever she chooses．
- 她愿嫁谁就嫁谁.
